Join us for eight fun and focused evening sessions designed to build your skills and confidence on the pottery wheel. Perfect for beginners or those returning to clay, this course will guide you through the foundations of wheel throwing in a supportive, small-group environment. Across the first few weeks, you’ll practice essential techniques—centering, pulling, and shaping clay—while learning to problem-solve and refine your approach. Don’t worry if your early creations don’t survive—it’s all part of the process! As the course progresses, you’ll move on to creating pieces ready for bisque firing and learn the basics of glazing. Completing an 8 week class is a great way to start to build muscle memory and move past any technique road blocks you might have picked up but not know how to overcome if you've only been potting for a short time. At the end of the final class, you will sit with your new pottery friends and enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of tea or coffee from a mug you made for yourself. Fabulous! Course includes: 1 free bag of clay per person, firing and a selection of glazes. If you need to cancel after booking, please email your name, bank account number, and the name of the workshop to craftpotterstreasury@gmail.com. A refund (minus a $25 booking fee) will be issued if the cancellation is more than 24 hours before the workshop. No refunds will be given within 24 hours of the start time.
